Job Description
Key Responsibilities:

Menu & Food Quality: Develop and execute on appealing bar food menus (appetizers, small plates, late-night fare) that complement the bar's beverage program; ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.

Kitchen Operations: Oversee daily kitchen workflow, manage food prep, maintain sanitation standards (ServSafe/Health Code compliance), manage inventory, and coordinate with staff and management for smooth service.

Cost & Inventory Control: Monitor food costs, minimize waste, collaborate with management on supplier relationships, and track/control inventory levels for all kitchen supplies.

Equipment & Safety: Inspect and maintain kitchen equipment; ensure all food safety and health regulations are strictly followed.
Kitchen Set Up:

It's a small prep are equipped with convection oven, induction cooktop, and air-fryer.

supporting equipment: 3-comp sink, dishwasher, undercounter fridge and freezer.

You'd work with owner to guide inventory and ingredient needs for them to purchase and have ready each each day.
Qualifications:
-
Proven experience as a Chef, Line Cook, or similar role in same setting.

Valid California Food Handler Card (ServSafe preferred).

Strong knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and kitchen management.

Ability to work under pressure, multitask, communicate effectively, and lead.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Availability to a flexible schedule.
